U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has decided to allow higher levels of glyphosate, the active ingredient in Monsanto’s herbicide, Roundup, on food.

The new EPA rule comes despite independent studies that show glyphosate
can be harmful to human health as an endocrine disruptor, according to The Cornucopia Institute.
The institute said a June 2013 study concluded glyphosate “exerted
proliferative effects in human hormone-dependent breast cancer.”
Another study,
released in April, concluded that “glyphosate enhances the damaging
effects of other food borne chemical residues and environmental toxins
Negative impact on the body is insidious and manifests slowly over time
as inflammation damages cellular systems throughout the body.”
