Weed killer ingredient used on GMO crops found in a whole lot of urine

" If you follow the biotech industry, you may have noticed the sector has been fielding its share of health concerns lately around genetically-modified crops. Results from a recent study by Friends of the Earth Europe showed that 44 percent of urine taken from European city-dwellers across 18 countries was contaminated with glyphosate. Glyphosate is the primary ingredient in Monsanto's weed-killer Roundup, and is also used widely in the United States. At high levels of exposure, the herbicide has been linked to cancer, Parkinson's and infertility. Researchers are especially concerned because the samples were taken from people who have never handled or used it. Glyphosate is used extensively on genetically modified crops which have been engineered to be resistant to this herbicide. [Source]"
